Jack-N-Jill

Jack n Jill Nursery School is a mission project of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, founded in September of 1969.  Literally thousands of area children have begun their educational journeys at Jack & Jill!

At Jack n Jill Nursery School, we hope that children will find that

LEARNING IS FUN!

We provide a safe, happy and creative atmosphere to help each child develop his physical, social, cognitive and emotional capabilities to their fullest potential.  We hope to develop a sense of responsibility  and self-reliance in each child.  Socialization and working in a classroom setting are other important functions of the pre-school.

Classes meet on the following days beginning the day after Labor Day and ending the 3^rd week in May, excepting school holidays.

3 year old class:

Monday and Friday

9:15-11:30 AM

3 and 4 year old classes:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

9:15-11:30 AM

1:00- 3:15 PM

4 year old and Pre-K classes:

Monday, Tuesday,

Wednesday, Thursday

The school was started in 1969 as a way to promote the education of young children and prepare them for kindergarten as well as utilize our Sunday School classrooms during the week.  In the beginning, Jack & Jill consisted of one 3 year old and one 4 year class; we have grown and expanded to the present size of - 2 classes of 3 year olds, 2 classes of 4 year olds, and a Pre-K class in both morning and afternoon sessions.  We are the largest pre-school in Avon Lake, with a license capacity of 92 children in each session.
